L. and I road-tripped through the state of Rio de Janeiro, starting in Ipanema, driving to Buzios, criss-crossing back across the state to Paraty, and then back to Rio. We were fortunate to avoid the disastorous floods occuring the same week in Rio’s neighbor state, Santa Catarina, and we put up a valiant effort to not to let the clouds and cold rains bring down our vacation too much.
